I scanned the computer and its telling me that there is a bad wire int the wiring harness for the MAF. could this be why in getting horible gas milage and when im idleing i can smell gas. also could it have anything to do with the TPS not being adjusted right?
its running like crap lately too like when the rpms get above 3000 it sputters, drops down then back up to 3 like its spazing out or somethin.

Are you getting a code 34? Been there done that. You could clean the MAF, but I doubt that would fix it. You're going to have to replace it. Go ahead and get another one from another 90 LN3. Its doubtful that its your wiring.

A good start would be to remove all the connectors (MAf) and clean and tighten up on the sockets. Dielectric grease will help prevent corrosion.
The battery cables and engine grounds should also be done.
