Rice pipe obstruction
I was thinking about doing the rice pipe mod (to compliment my exhaust equipment coming in the mail) so I decided to take a look at the airbox to see how it comes off. I take a look at there is this large thingy right between the upper rad hose and the pipe for the airbox that looks like it would make it impossible to have a rice pipe and filter there?
What is this large obstruction? After looking at jr'* rice pipe, that thing is not there.
credit for the nice rice pipe picture goes to jr's3800

Yea, I was thinking with the right pipe I may be able to sneak it between those relays (I think thats what they are) and the compressor. Is the compressor a warm running component or is it pretty cool? Would I still need the heat shield? Because the filter would be considerably further away from the rad...
Or I could see if I can mount the stupid thing somewhere else as jwikoff99 suggested...but this looks like a project thats going to have to wait till summer time and a good chunk of free time.
For now I can always just buy a nice K&N filter for my Airbox to make myself feel better...

**** yeah.. he'* got that badass FWI setup.. okay, nevermind then. Um.. I don't know then. If I feel like freezing my *** off, i'll go out to my car and see what I've got going on. I don't remember mine looking quite like that pic.. but we'll see. Even though I don't have my Compressor, Air box, or Charcoal Canister installed.
