Ram Air?

That'll do. Now go one step further and shroud it from the heat coming off your fans and radiator, and VAVOOM. CAI. As long is it only draws from behind the headlight or out of the fender, you're in biznis. Post some pics when you're done so I can copy it

Behind the headlight? I don't think that would work--mine is an 89--and it'* super tight behind there! Can't even be plumbed into the fender. Only way I saw was to snake it to the pass side somehow. Can't put it too low--it'll get ripped off.:(
any ideas?

One guy I know has designed a system that goes behind the headlight down to the air dam. I'm trying to get my own system together that uses the air dam as the front scoop (inlet) to up behind the headlight to a CAI Box.

I put a ram air to the alternator on my 90 SSE and it quit eating them! I took a piece of 1-1/2" flexible aluminum tubing from pep boys that is normally used on a heat riser from the manifold to the air cleaner. I routed it around the radiator support and pushed some of the plastic out of the way so one end was in the air stream behind the grill and the other end I tie wrapped in place so it pointed into the front of the alternator. I went thru about six of them before I tried this and haven't lost one since.

For a ram air hood, you could easily make one.
You could cut a hole in your stock hood, and graft some fiberglass to it to make the scoop, you can also do the same and make heat extractors and such as well.
Another option is to make an entirely brand new hood out of fiberglass or carbon fiber.
You can do anything, just takes fabricating.
