I bought that SSE i mentioned to you folks about being sold.anyways, when you turn on the car,the thing shakes and vibrates bad,the guy told me that she needs a new tranny,he was gonna do it but got lazy and sold it.So i put her in gear, shaking stops a little bit.and picks up again.so i drive down the road, shifting is good and doesnt shake at driving speed.didnt take her to highway speeds.but he told me that she shakes at around 50mph.?she has a brand new electronic module distributer and cables and plugs.
Also when you put the car in D, you have to step ALL THE WAY on the gas just to get her to move?it shifts fine at 2200RPM and so on...no clunking or anything during shifting.

could it be mounting issues or the TCC is toast?the tranny?or a balance issue opensourceguy mentioned to me in a conversation tonite?

any help would be appriciated

opensourseguy mentioned to me that there was some sort of a balance issue in the 88-91 engine/tranny mount?

could anyone point me to that article or clear this situation up?

Sounds to me like a couple of cylinders missing. One bad coil in the coilpack will doer. Would also check to see if two plug wires are on the wrong coils

I remember reading here that there was a balence issue with the vin3 engine.. and the cylinders would get unbalenced.. at least that'* what I though..

Also if it were ignition related the car would stall frequently, and if you were to mash the gas the car would never get up to a high rpm.. i've had two fo my cylinders go out once.. not pretty.. you'd be better off leaving the car in neutral because you'd be restarting it fairly often.
