Inside car heat sencor
Can I use a shop vac to clean the heat sencor that is mounted on dash on pass side of car. I do not know how to take out dash to get at sencor. I have a 91 Bonne SSE.It is the spot that has about 8 small holes drilled in dash to form a square.

This is for a newer car, might be the same, might not. https://www.gmforum.com/interior-136/clean-interior-temperature-sensor-285293/
Otherwise, another option is to get a can of compressed air, the kind used to clean a computer keyboard. And use that to blow it off without removing the front of the dash.

Thanks Toddster I am trying to eliminate possibilities as to why the heater in our car is so lousey
I have to have the temp at 31 to get good heat but do not get good quantity of air flow when the fan is at the top speed. I checked the air mix actuator and to my knowledge it seems to be working I can't move the rod by hand . When I start the car and change the temp setting the rod moves very slowly
from one end to the other end . I cant get enough air VOLUME. As to the speed of the fan. It has been -35 F and is hard to drive with mitts and touqe on.

Hey Toddster Thanks for the info I think Mon I will check this out. I have a question Is the evap core another name for the heater core. I was going to take off the heater motor but the rear motor sling was in the way and check to see if the heater core was grimey. Our car doesn't have a panel to cover the sun moon roof could that be where I am loosing a lot of heat. Thanks again
