Well, my 89 SSE has moved on to that big highway in the sky
Hopefully it will be reborn as a part of Vette or a GTO someday..
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to the whole gang here. This is one of the best message boards out there. Theres an excellent mix of beginners & experts willing to help, all with no bashing & flame wars you see in other places. I didnt get to meet anyone from here, but I'm sure your all great people
OSG, good luck with the ride, you have a lot of talent for someone your age. Stick with it, get a hotrod to play with someday-youll love it! If your ever at Martin Dragway & see me & the Yellow Z28, stop & say hey (pic is on my homepage).
Padgett-thanks for all your excellent tech. I post a link to your page often on other boards I visit, its good stuff! It should be mandatory reading!

Final tally on my 89 SSE-
264,569 miles, still ran perfect.
Everything except the headlight washers worked up till the last day.
It averaged 24mpg over this summer.
Original engine & transmission have never been out or rebuilt, thats what good maintenance & not beating on it does![Wink](https://www.gmforum.com/gm/images/smilies/wink.gif)
The only bad thing I can say about it is that it had some kind of structural flaw that allowed the windshield to leak like mad. The original owner had it replaced 6 times and it never quit. Kind of an oddity, so I guess it doesnt really count.
See ya gang!
