Disabling the car alarm?
My car is a '89 SSE Bonneville.
After removing and replacing my front two doors' covers on the inside, the car alarm now goes off whenever the battery is connected. It'* never done this before, and now that I think back to when I replaced the doors, I remember reconnecting a cable that I found disconnected; however, I've tried to find the right cable to no avail. I can't turn the alarm off by unlocking the doors either because the front two doors' locks were switched by some previous owner and I don't have the key.
It'* extremely bothersome and I would highly appreciate it if someone would tell me how to disable the car alarm or stop it from going off by any means possible. List as many ways you know of, whether if this means you know the cable in the door that I would have to disconnect for the alarm to stop or just where to find the alarm so I could disconnect it.
I've looked in the fuse box and tried disconnecting all of them one by one and none of them will turn off the alarm.
Please, please help.
Thanks,
Andy.
