You know... The LIM gaskets degrade on their own, If they're original thay're probably bad. Do you have oil leaks around the LIM? That'* normally a pretty good indicator.

I don't think any of us really know what'* in the" Prestone Dex-Cool Approved". The gearheads were debating this on Friday. I tried calling Prestone on Friday but called too late. I'll try again on Tuesday.
Edit - You should get a pressure test done.

I'm having the same exact problem. Pooling around intake gaskets, not so milky oil [for some reason every time i check the oil it is just a tad bit more full... not noticable between weeks but overall it'* obvious... but you couldn't tell by looking at the fluid colour]. I can swear I smell coolant burning in the exhaust, but nobody else can smell it. And I blew a lower radiator hose and didn't overheat the car, but it got a lot hotter than it usually does. Ever since then, i've been having these issues. No noticable coolant loss... although like wj every once in a while i'll pop the hood and the overflow tank will be empty. Nadda on the ground, for sure.
wj, I have a feeling our driving habits are similar, and that our problems and solutions are the same as well.
EDIT: oh yeah, I have an idle problem, cold -2500RPM, warm 2k, but if it does that, i shut it off and it'll idle at 1k. Spraying brake clean around the intake gasket does nothing, but there is a ton of grease/oil buildup around it, so my guess is it wouldn't suck it in anyways.

OSG, are you getting any codes on that idle? I had that problem after I overheated mine.
But yeah, after driving for about an hour the other day I looked in the tank to see the level and it was at the cold level even though I had filled it to the hot level JUST before that drive.

Ooops, shoulda been more specific. The radiator was also very low at the time, I was just saying how empty the rad was in the first place.
But like I said before, the tank usually empties out in a month.

So.. You drove the car knowing that the coolant system wasn't up to par and you're wondering why it'* broken?
Look. You need to put thing things in order or something. What was the car doing when, and what is it doing now.
Then walk outside and smell your exhaust.
