Anyone know where the RPM sensor is located?????
I have a small problem with my RPMs suddendly reading at 5000 to 6000 when the engine is really only doing about 3000 anyone heard of this or know where the sensor that controls this is located please share any info will help.

I was thinking the same thing. If the PCM was getting false info on the engine RPM, it wouldn't have been running, right? Because the PCM controls the coil pack, and if the spark wasn't n'sync with RPM'*, there would be far worse problems than bad tach readings. With that said, i'm not sure where the problem would be.

nope i dont have a remote starter and i think it has to do with me dropping a used motor in the car because it does it less the more I drive the car so hopefully it will just stop all together because i dont believe there is a sensor for this.
