Pics below show the screws and the airbox I got from the yard. I took out the IAT I got from the yard because mine works fine, but I kept it just in case.
But if you have good screws Don, do let me know, because I highly doubt that the hardware store has these screws...
also. OSG, i think you said you went at em with a big azz screwdriver? Well I got the right size on em b4..and i got one loose...kinda...but then the rear drivers screw i got a good grip on and put some SERIOUS A$$ into it and it would not burge and then the top completely stripped, so i know dang well that one is in there GOOD!!!!

Looks like I have the same problem ahead of me on the grey car. Some work needs to be done to it and of course I get the phone call to do the work. One thing is changing the filter to a K&N, with of course rusted screws that wont come out.

Ok... :? I really went to town on those screws. I broke two 1/4" titanium drill bits... and dulled a third. But I finally got through them... SO, then I got out my vice grips...and tried to get them out as suggested right? Talk about a no go. The one on the left in the pic, with the...not all the way ground off head..well that one rusted to its counterpart that is molded into the lower part of the airbox. And so it is not going ANYWHERE fast. NOW, for the one on the RIGHT (towards the rear of the vehicle). That one just won't move...period. See a few posts up where i said even when i did have a good grip on em, that they were tight? Yeah, I have a feeling they are still tight. So right now I am still using the same airbox so that the messed up holes match... and so it is being held down by the two passenger side screws. Right. So right now, what I have to do is run down to the JY this Wednesday and get me a lower airbox. I got the new FRAM filter in there for now until my K&N goes in. She feels much better. I can't imagine how much the K&N will improve it!
So anyways, heres the pics, just to give you an idea, and to supplement the explanation above.
