88 Bonneville engine/tranny into a 90?
I recently wrecked my '88 (fairly bad frame damage on the front-end, though most everything but the DS-fender/lights/bumper was spared), and need to know if I can just pull the engine and transmission out and throw them into a '90. Or, alternately, just throw the tranny into the '90, since the '90 has a good engine and bad tranny.

Yes, you could do the trans np. The motor would require a few different parts, sensor electronic stuff. No biggie, i have a 90 motor/trans in an 89, i think i just switched oil pressure sending unit and ps sending unit. Using 89 harness. You have to use the car'* harness, the two don't interchange. It may have the right connector, but it'* not the right length. But if just swapping the trans it'* plug and play. Only thing you may need the 88s ECU if the final drive ratio is different [told by RPO codes, found in tech info.]. That'* all.
